Branson Landing selects hotel general manager

Mark Hartman was named general manager of Hilton Hotel Corp.’s share of the Branson Landing project.

Hartman is responsible for overseeing the construction of a 241-room hotel opening in June 2006, a 294-room convention hotel opening in March 2007 and a 220,000-square-foot convention center.

He previously served as general manager of the Doubletree Hotel & Executive Meeting Center in Chicago and of similar projects in St. Louis, Cincinnati and Charlotte, N.C.

Hartman has worked for Hilton for 22 years and has experience in developing pre- and post-opening budgets, market segmentation and rate analysis.

Branson Landing is a 95-acre, $420 million development on the Lake Taneycomo waterfront east of downtown Branson. It will feature 500,000 square feet of retail space, more than 140 condominiums, several marinas and restaurants, in addition to the Hilton projects.
