Also at the meeting, aldermen approved, on first reading, the establishment of a community improvement district and neighborhood improvement district in and around the proposed Branson Commerce Park on State Highway 248. Property owners in that area made the request to the city.
Both districts are being formed to levy special property assessments, and a sales tax not to exceed 1 percent to fund improvements on the property.
