Branson Hills Golf Club was named the top course in Missouri and honored among the Top 50 in the country in a newly released report.
Branson Hills ranked No. 36 overall in the Golfers' Choice publication from GolfPass, a subscription service from NBC Sports' Golf Channel. Courses were narrowed down from the roughly 4,200 golf courses that receive 10 or more reviews in 2020, with scores calculated based on value, conditions, layout, pace of play, staff friendliness and off-course amenities.
Branson Hills has a 4.8 out of 5-star rating via GolfPass, with 98.4% of reviewers recommending the course. The 100 Payne Stewart Drive course has ratings of 4.8 out of 5 for conditions; 4.6 for value; 4.9 for layout; 4.7 for friendliness; 4.6 for pace; and 4.6 for amenities.
"It is an honor to receive these accolades among all the great golf courses Missouri has to offer," said Rick Huffman, president and CEO of HCW LLC, the developer, owner and operator of the course, in a news release.
The Branson course is the only one in Missouri in the Top 50. No. 1 on the list is Yocha Dehe at Cache Creek Casino Resort in Brooks, California.
GolfPass also this month released a list of the top courses in Missouri. Local courses joining No. 1 Branson Hills are all at Johnny Morris' Big Cedar Lodge: No. 4 Mountain Top Course, No. 5 Buffalo Ridge Springs, No. 6 Top of the Rock, No. 15 Ozarks National and No. 23 Payne's Valley.
