Branson contracts with city attorney

A private Branson lawyer has been contracted to serve as attorney for the city of Branson.

Timothy Davis, who owns a law practice in Branson, will be a contract employee for the city and will have the title, duties and responsibilities of city attorney, according to a news release. He reports to the Board of Aldermen.

Davis is a Branson native and has been an associate with law firms in New York and Toronto.

City Prosecutor William Duston has been serving as interim city attorney; Paul Link left the position in October 2008 to return to private practice.
