The city’s board of aldermen July 24 gave unanimous first-reading approval of four bills that would allow 92 acres to be used for a Supercenter, a Sam’s Club and more than 12 retail shops. The board is scheduled to hold second reading and vote on the measures Aug. 14.
The Supercenter development would be located at the southwest corner of Highway 65 and Branson Hills Parkway, in a tax increment financing district. It would be Branson’s first Supercenter.
