Branson-based company earns Airbnb and Vrbo distinction

Last week, a family visited Branson to celebrate a child’s birthday. They arrived at their Airbnb lodging to a card, cupcakes and party favors, and a balloon depicting the girl’s favorite character: Stitch from Disney’s “Lilo & Stitch.”

“We customized it to make it more appealing to them than just walking into a condo,” said David Slone, owner with his wife, Stacey, of Aha Property Management LLC, which owns 12 and manages 71 short-term rental properties across Branson.

On April 23, Aha Property Management announced it had achieved two industry distinctions as both an Airbnb Superhost and a Vrbo Premier Host. A news release from the company called that dual designation a rarity, held by a small fraction of vacation rentals in the United States.

The Airbnb Superhost designation is awarded to hosts who over a 12-month period maintain a minimum 4.8-star overall rating, a response rate above 90% and a cancellation rate of under 1%, according to Airbnb. The Vrbo Premier Host status is an invitation-only designation for hosts with a minimum 99% booking acceptance rate, 0% owner-initiated cancellations and a 4.6-star average rating, according to Vrbo.

The Slones founded Aha Property Management in 2022, and it has grown from a single Fall Creek condominium into a property management company operating in multiple Branson-area neighborhoods, adding properties in downtown, the Cliffs Resort at Table Lake, the Vineyards and Kimberling City.

“That feels big to us, but in comparison, it’s still pretty small,” Slone said of the company’s portfolio of properties. “There are a lot of really large [short-term rental] companies, particularly in the Branson, Ozark and Springfield area.”

Short-term rental analytics company AirROI released data on the Branson Airbnb market for the period of April 2025 to March 2026 and found 2,913 active short-term rental listings in Branson, with supply growing 80.4% over the year. Revenue and nightly rates both trended upward in that time – “a signal that traveler demand is outpacing new inventory rather than being diluted by it,” according to AirROI’s analysis.

The analytics firm’s dataset for the year showed an Airbnb in Branson earns on average $30,097 per year at a $247 average nightly rate with 37.9% occupancy and $102 revenue per available room – a hotel performance metric that measures revenue generation relative to available inventory, according to Investopedia.

A search of Branson rental properties on the Vrbo site shows 357 are operated by Premier Host designees. Airbnb does not provide an option to filter by Superhost designation.

“There are thousands of vacation rentals in the Branson area,” Slone said. “Our idea was how do you stand out from thousands? You provide a better guest experience.”

Living in Branson also makes a difference, according to Slone. The Slones moved to the city in 2022 when they bought their first condominium, a Fall Creek property they named Sunny Daze. They acquired more properties, including large group retreats that can sleep up to 30 guests, according to the Aha Property Management website.
