Posted online
When Branson Airport opens May 11, direct flights will be available to and from Dallas International Airport, officials announced this morning.

Dallas-Ft. Worth, Texas, was revealed as the airport's fourth direct destination, in addition to Atlanta, Milwaukee and - announced just last week - Minneapolis-St. Paul.

Sun Country Airlines will fly from Branson to Dallas on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays for a $79 one-way introductory fare. Flights will depart Branson at 9:35 a.m. and arrive in Dallas at 10:55 a.m., and they will depart Dallas at 11:45 a.m. and arrive in Branson at 1 p.m., according to a news release.

Sun Country and AirTran Airways are the airport's two commercial carriers. The $155 million privately operated airport is under construction just south of Branson.[[In-content Ad]]
