Branson adds nonstop flights to Tennessee, Mississippi

Posted online
Branson Airport is adding two more direct destinations in May.

Branson AirExpress, operated by ExpressJet Airlines, will offer nonstop flights three days a week to Nashville, Tenn., and Gulfport/Biloxi, Miss., beginning May 17.

Flights, scheduled for Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, will be on Embraer ERJ-145 aircraft, which seat up to 50 people, according to a news release.

The flights carry introductory fares of $49 each way to Nashville and $59 each way to Mississippi, if tickets are purchased by April 17 for travel before June 17, the release said.

Branson AirExpress announced flights earlier this year to Austin and Houston, Texas; Des Moines, Iowa; Shreveport, La.; and Terre Haute, Ind. The company also offers connecting flights between the various airports.

“We know the addition of service to Nashville and Gulfport/Biloxi will be well received," Branson Airport Executive Director Jeff Bourk said in the release. "We look forward to offering these popular destinations to our area residents as well as offering a more convenient form of travel to visitors."

With the addition of the two new destinations, the airport – which hits its one-year anniversary in May – will offer flights to 10 cities. AirTran Airways flies to Atlanta and Orlando, Fla., and service will be added to Denver later this month.[[In-content Ad]]
