Neosho-based Branco Enterprises Inc. is climbing the ranking of the Engineering News-Record's
Top 200 Environmental Firms list.
Branco was listed at No. 129 this year, up 49 spots from its position at No. 178 in 2009. This year marks the fourth consecutive year the company has earned a spot on the list, according to a Branco news release.
Engineering News-Record, a weekly construction publication published by the McGraw-Hill Companies Inc., compiles a national ranking of top firms providing environmental services to domestic and international markets.
"The industry is trending toward environmentally conscious builders," Branco President John Branham said in the release. "We're proud to be the area's leader in providing 'green' facilities."
The No. 1 spot was given to Englewood, Colo.-based CH2M Hill Ltd, which was also No. 1 last year.
Branco is a general contractor and design builder in industries such as manufacturing, retail, institutional and educational facilities and water and wastewater plants.[[In-content Ad]]
