Boys & Girls Clubs Henderson Unit

Posted online
Boys & Girls Clubs of Springfield’s new Henderson Unit in Grant Beach Park is slated to open in September, replacing the existing unit at 1300 Boonville Ave.

“We are basically working on the structure of the building, doing the structural steel and the exterior masonry work to get it closed in,” said Kenny Ross of general contractor Morelock-Ross Builders Inc. The 22,000-square-foot facility was designed by Slone Architects PC. Engineers are Crocker Consulting Engineers Inc., mechanical, electrical and plumbing; Wells & Scaletty LLC, structural; and Great River Engineering of Springfield Inc., civil. The $2.2 million facility will have offices, a kitchen, a gymnasium, a teen center, a technology lab, a game room and an art and music center. [[In-content Ad]]
