Posted online

The Economic Development Partnership of Bolivar & Polk County has hired a new president and CEO.

Bradley Testerman started May 28 as the leader of the economic development group, according to a news release.

“Brad brings many years of experience in building and growing businesses through sales, marketing and operational leadership," said Nick Seiner, EDP board chair, in the release. "We look forward to implementing our priorities to advocate for existing businesses while also having a regional presence to engage prospective businesses, developers and entrepreneurs to grow our economy."

Testerman succeeds Gail Noggle, who last year announced her retirement after more than 25 years of experience in economic development and community building.

Testerman, who comes from Joplin, has more than 25 years of experience in sales, marketing and operations domestically and internationally, according to the release. He most recently was president and chief operating officer for Neosho-based Marco Furniture Inc.

“As president of the EDP, I am excited to work with civic leaders and the citizens of Bolivar/Polk County to drive strong economic growth, greater employment opportunities and improve overall community engagement worthy of the character and heritage synonymous with the city of Bolivar and Polk County,” Testerman said in the release.

A public/private partnership, EDP works to address needs and opportunities and advocate for new and existing businesses in the area.
