The Kansas City-based International Brotherhood of Boilermakers has filed suit against its former president.
The lawsuit seeks to recover nearly $500,000 in union money that Newton Jones allegedly misused when he was president of the organization.
Jones, who was ousted two years ago, is also facing a federal corruption case that alleges he and others stole $20 million in union funds.
