Boeing is relocating the F/A-18 fighter jet's service life modification work out of the St. Louis area.
Sites including the company's San Antonio and Jacksonville facilities are being considered for the work.
"Our expansion plans across the St. Louis site triggered the execution of a multiyear strategic plan, requiring the relocation of some work," said Dan Gillian, a senior St. Louis site executive, according to Reuters.
