Boeing is planning to cut thousands of jobs amid an air travel slump brought on by the coronavirus pandemic.
The new cuts are on top of 16,000 layoffs announced earlier this year. The company, which had 160,000 employees at the start of 2020, is aiming to have a staff of 130,000 by the end of 2021.
During the third quarter, the company's net loss came to $1.39 per share.
