Boeing: More job cuts coming in 2017

Boeing officials told employees Monday more jobs cuts to its commercial airplane unit are coming in 2017.

"While we have made progress in reducing costs and improving affordability, we will need to do more in 2017," said an internal company message. "We will need to continue to reduce the size of our workforce next year."

This year, the size of Boeing's commercial airplane unit workforce dropped by 8 percent.
