Boeing lands approval for $3B sale of planes to UK

The U.S. government has given Boeing Co. permission to sell up to nine maritime patrol planes to the United Kingdom in a deal worth as much as $3.2 billion.

Congress has 15 days to block the deal, but according to the St. Louis Business Journal, that is unlikely given the close relationship between the U.S. and the U.K.

In 2015, Boeing posted net income of $5.2 billion on $96.1 billion in revenue.
