Boeing could kill production of iconic 747 jumbo jet

Citing lackluster sales, Boeing has warned it may stop producing its iconic 747 jumbo jet.

"It is reasonably possible that we could decide to end production of the 747," Boeing officials said Wednesday in a regulatory filing.

The filing follows a previous announcement it would reduce production of the aircraft to six per year from 12 starting in September.
