Boeing confirms $4B order from GE

Posted online
General Electric's aircraft leasing and financing arm has confirmed that it has placed an order for 40 Boeing planes worth $4 billion at list prices. The order includes 20 737 MAX 8 planes and 20 next-generation 737-800 jets.

Though booked last year, the order had been attributed to an "unidentified customer" by Boeing, according to the BBC.

GE Capital Aviation Services said the purchases would help meet growing demand from customers for fuel-efficient aircraft.
