A nearly 21-year veteran of the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce who split his duties for a position with Missouri State University a year ago, has officially exited the chamber and is now full-time with the Springfield school.
At MSU, Brad Bodenhausen leads a
program designed to provide noncredit customized language training, along with international leadership and development programs.
Bodenhausen started July 1 as the permanent director of MSU's International Leadership and Training Center. He had served part-time in the venture - which often partners with the chamber - during the past year, and worked at the chamber supervising its communications department as well as continuing to work on its international business development program.
Chamber officials held a farewell party for Bodenhausen on June 27. Bodenhausen previously served the chamber as executive vice president, relinquishing those duties to Rob Dixon after he split his time with MSU.
Bodenhausen said he will continue to be active with the chamber via the MSU international venture, and he currently serves as a member of the
search committee to pick a successor for his former boss, Jim Anderson, who recently retired from the chamber and moved to a
position with CoxHealth.
One partnership with the chamber and the ILTC, Bodenhausen said, gives Chinese students earning their MBA at MSU the chance to visit businesses in the area, allowing them to get more experience and local owners to build their International contacts.
