German carmaker BMW on Tuesday reported a more than 70% drop in quarterly net earnings to roughly $657.7 million.
During the quarter, the company reported a $1.6 billion charge related to the European Union's investigation into alleged collusion by German automakers to delay low-emission cars.
Revenue dipped less than 1% to about $25 billion.
