U.S. Sen. Roy Blunt, R-Missouri, said he would support the Republican primary election winner to succeed him.
“I hope this works itself out without my involvement,” Blunt said. “I think the Republican candidate needs to be the candidate that Missouri Republicans and conservatives rally around, and I will be supporting the Republican candidate."
Blunt, who is stepping down, is leaving a seat behind that's attracted 15 candidates.
