U.S. Sens. Roy Blunt and Josh Hawley yesterday reintroduced legislation designed to improve the safety of duck boats.
The bill calls on National Transportation Safety Board recommendations to be implemented, including buoyancy rules and the required use of life jackets.
The legislation comes in the wake of the July 2018 Ride the Ducks accident on Table Rock Lake. A duck boat carrying 31 people capsized, killing 17, amid inclement weather.
