Blues announce GM succession plan

The St. Louis Blues announced a general manager succession plan.

Former player Alexander Steen signed a five-year contract to serve as assistant to General Manager Doug Armstrong. Steen is slated to take over for Armstrong after two years.

Armstrong will become president of hockey operations after exiting the general manager role.
