The Toronto Blue Jays returned to their home stadium for the first time in 670 days.
The Blue Jays have been on the road for 161 regular season and playoff games after the Canadian government rejected the team’s request to play in Toronto during the pandemic. The Canadian government cited concerns over cross-border travel to and from the United States, The New York Times reports.
The Blue Jays played the Kansas City Royals at Rogers Centre on Friday.
