Bloomberg News officials said the publication will not investigate founder Michael Bloomberg, who on Sunday joined the 2020 Democratic presidential race.
“We will continue our tradition of not investigating Mike (and his family and foundation) and we will extend the same policy to his rivals in the Democratic primaries,” Bloomberg Editor-in-Chief John Micklethwait wrote in a memo to staff.
The Trump administation will continue to be investigated “as the government of the day," Micklethwait said.
