Retired NFL star Michael Oher has filed a complaint alleging the Tuohy family made money off of a lie.
Oher's supposed adoption out of poverty by a wealthy, white family was portrayed in the 2009 movie "The Blind Side." Oher alleges he was tricked into signing a document making Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohy his conservators, giving them legal authority to make business deals in his name. He says in the complaint that he thought the document would allow the Tuohys to adopt him.
The petition alleges the Tuohys used their power as conservators to enter a deal that paid them millions of dollars from the movie while Oher got nothing.
