BlackBerry soars 30% on reports of Samsung bid

BlackBerry shares closed nearly 30 percent higher Wednesday on rumors of a purchase offer from Samsung.

However, BlackBerry denied the rumors and Samsung declined to comment, according to CNNMoney.

Following its denial, BlackBerry shares fell as much as 16 percent in after-hours trading.
