BKD regional manager hits mandatory retirement age

A regional managing partner in the Kansas City office, Doug Gaston, has hit BKD LLP’s mandatory retirement age of 62 and plans to step down May 31.

According to the Kansas City Business Journal, BKD veteran Barry Davis will succeed Gaston. Davis has served the last six years as managing partner in Kansas City and worked 31 years with BKD.

In the new role, the business journal reports, Davis is in charge of 12 BKD offices across Colorado, Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas and Missouri, as well as satellite offices in St. Louis and Decatur, Ill.

Gaston, the regional managing partner the last six years, told the Kansas City Business Journal he planned to remain in the Kansas City area.
