Springfield-based certified public accounting firm BKD LLP has opened its first office in Tennessee.
The Nashville office opened to better assist existing clients in several industries, including health care, manufacturing, education, financial services and government. BKD also is looking to expand its presence in the region by scouting finance, construction and real estate clients, according to a July 2 news release.
“The Nashville marketplace is a great fit for BKD because of its proximity to several of our offices and the many Tennessee clients we already serve,” said Tim Snavely, regional managing partner of BKD’s east region, which includes Tennessee, in the release. “We’ve been serving clients and individuals in this region for years, and we’re excited to open an office that will solidify our presence in this vibrant market.”
The firm appointed Managing Partner David Tate to lead the office. “We’ve identified the right personnel to build a strong foundation for the future and are prepared to provide the necessary support to ensure this expansion effort is a success," Tate added.
With the Tennessee location, BKD operates 31 offices serving clients in all 50 states, the release said.
