The Hanke Group nets about $12 million in annual revenues and brings 70 employees, including eight partners, to the table, according to a news release. The accounting firm focuses on real estate, oil and gas, construction, not-for-profit, employee benefits and service industries.
The merger allows BKD – one of the 10 largest CPA firms in the country – to tap into the rapidly growing San Antonio and south Texas markets, the release said.
“We want to continue our strategy of wise growth, and the timing was right for the combination,” BKD CEO Neal Spencer said in the release. “We have been diligent about finding the right fit for our firm, and The Hanke Group has the reputation, talent and quality we look for.”
The Hanke Group, founded in 1985, will adopt the BKD name, and Denise Green will be managing partner.
BKD annual revenues ring in at about $350 million. The company has more than 1,900 employees, including 240 partners, and 29 offices in 12 states.[[In-content Ad]]
