BKD falls off top 10 of accounting firm list after 12 years

After holding a top 10 spot for 12 years, BKD LLP slipped two spots to No. 12 on Inside Public Accounting's 2013 list of the largest U.S. firms in the industry, ranked by net revenue.

Springfield-based BKD, which operates 31 offices, reported fiscal 2013 revenue of $417.9 million, a 4 percent increase compared to $401.8 million in fiscal 2012, according to the 2013 IPA 100 list published in August. BKD's fiscal year ended May 31, according to its website.

The firm had been in the top 10 since 2001, when it peaked at No. 7, and had held the No. 10 spot since 2005, according to Springfield Business Journal archives.

New York-based Deloitte LLP again ranked No. 1 on the list, with net revenue of $13.1 billion, a 9.4 percent increase compared to 2012.[[In-content Ad]]
