BJC HealthCare to merge with Saint Luke's

St. Louis-based BJC HealthCare and Kansas City-based Saint Luke’s Health System announced plans to merge.

The companies plan to keep their own names and operate from dual headquarters.

Richard Liekweg, BJC’s chief executive, will be CEO of the combined health care system. The initial board chair is slated to come from St. Luke’s.
