BJC acquires psychiatric hospital

BJC HealthCare has acquired a 25-bed acute-care psychiatric hospital in St. Louis.

St. Louis Public Radio reports the St. Louis Regional Psychiatric Stabilization Center, aka PSC, was financially unstable.

The hospital serves people experiencing a psychiatric emergency, such as an episode of schizophrenia or a suicide attempt.
