The value of bitcoin again rose past $15,000 after a pre-Christmas rout.
The cryptocurrency lost more than a quarter of its value on Friday when it fell 30 percent to $11,159.93.
Bitcoin climbed to as high as $19,666 on Dec. 17 on Bitstamp and to more than $20,000 on other exchanges.
