Bistro Market will hold the launch party for its catering service at 7 p.m. Oct. 8 on the outdoor pavilion of the downtown Springfield market.
The event, dubbed Plate Escapes, will donate ticket sales to Ozarks Food Harvest, according to a dual news release from Ozarks Food Harvest and Pyramid Foods.
“We are so pleased to partner with long-term supporter, Price Cutter, and are excited for their new business at the Bistro Market,” Bart Brown, president and CEO of Ozarks Food Harvest, said in the release. “This benefit really comes at an ideal time as more and more families are requesting help in our communities across the Ozarks.”
Tickets cost is a $75 donation to Ozarks Food Harvest, a portion of which will go towards The Food Bank. Five percent of all proceeds garnered from catering services booked the night of the event will be donated to the nonprofit.
“We’re thrilled to bring to Springfield a new, broad catering option, and what better organization to support than Ozarks Food Harvest,” said James Clary, culinary director of Pyramid Foods, in the release.
Clary and Pyramid Foods CEO Erick Taylor were the minds behind Bistro Catering, which caters seasonal buffet; plated service; finger foods, dips and spreads; kosher items; vegan, organic and vegetarian items; and desserts, according to its
Web site.
The event will feature food styles from international locations - such as Tuscany and France - and musical entertainment.
Guests must RSVP and donate to Ozarks Food Harvest at 865-3411 by noon on Oct. 6 in order to attend the event, the release said.[[In-content Ad]]
