'Binge-watch' named word of the year

We’ve all done it. There’s that show you just can’t stop watching, so you go on a binge.

The practice has become so popular, UK-based dictionary Collins named binge-watch its word of the year.

Defined as “to watch a large number of television programs, especially all the shows from one series, in succession,” CNN says the term has tripled in popularity since the previous year.

Other finalists for word of the year were transgender, dadbod, clean eating and ghosting.
