Dallas billionaire Tom Dundon agreed to buy a majority stake in the Carolina Hurricanes from longtime owner Peter Karmanos.
NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman said the Hurricanes would not relocate.
Karmanos moved the team from Hartford, Connecticut, to North Carolina two decades ago.
