Bill that would shield businesses from ADA website lawsuits heads to governor

A bill that would protect businesses from minor violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act on their websites is heading to Gov. Mike Kehoe's desk.

The Act Against Abusive Website and Web Content Litigation would give businesses 90 days to fix their websites after receiving a noncompliance warning. After that, a lawsuit could be filed.

More than 100 Missouri businesses have reportedly been targeted by such lawsuits.
