Bill Gates wants to turn feces into drinking water

Bill Gates says a new plant that can turn human feces into electricity and clean drinking water can save a huge number of lives.

Called the OmniProcessor, the low-cost waste management plant funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation transforms human waste into clean water, according to Wired.

The machine uses steam power and water filtration and can convert up to 14 tons of sewage into potable water and electricity each day, Gates says.
