The owner of Big Momma’s Coffee and Espresso Bar is joining forces with Drury University’s Edward Jones Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation to offer two series of courses on small business.

Lyle Foster, owner of Big Momma’s at 217 E. Commercial St., is taking registrations for upcoming classes designed to help entrepreneurs with startups or existing businesses.

Participants will learn about developing business plans, creating marketing and public relations strategies, finding start-up funds, achieving good customer service, developing strategic plans and understanding legal issues, according to a Drury news release.

Phase I of the program will be March 3–May 19. Classes will be held 6–9:15 p.m. Mondays at Big Momma’s. The cost is $195, and materials are included. The deadline to register is Feb. 28.

Phase II can be taken on its own or as a follow-up to Phase I. Graduates will receive a Certificate of Small Business Entrepreneurship. Classes will be held weekly June 2–Sept. 12 on the Drury campus. The cost is $300.
