Big Lots reported quarterly earnings and revenue that trumped analysts' expectations.
Net income rose to $452 million from $6.2 million a year earlier. Adjusted profits were $2.75 per share, above the $2.70 per share analysts projected.
Revenue of $1.64 billion was up from $1.3 billion in the same quarter of 2019. Analysts were looking for $1.61 billion in sales.
