President Joe Biden worked quickly on his first day in office to sign 17 executive orders, memorandums and proclamations.
Among the actions, Biden reinstated ties with the World Health Organization after the Trump administration withdrew the country's membership and funding last year. It was among orders designed to increase the government's efforts to combat the coronavirus pandemic.
Economic endeavors include an extension of the federal moratorium on evictions and a continued pause on federal student loan interest and principal payments.
