President Joe Biden rejected a Republican alternative to his $1.9 trillion COVID-19 stimulus plan after meeting with Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, and others.
Collins and other Republicans are seeking to change the plan's funding amount to $618 billion. However, Biden said the proposal is too small.
The Biden administration reportedly is seeking passage of the legislation by March.
