Former Vice President Joe Biden on Friday denied an allegation of sexual assault.
Tara Reade, a former staffer who served in Biden’s Washington Senate office for a brief period in 1993, alleged the assault.
Biden said the alleged misconduct 27 years ago was not true.
"This never happened," he said.
While Biden campaign officials have denied the allegations, Friday morning's announcement marks the first time the presidential candidate has spoken out about it.
