The Biden administration now expects slower economic growth and higher inflation than previously predicted.
The White House Office of Management and Budget now is forecasting 1.4% growth, after adjusting for inflation, from the end of fourth-quarter 2021 to the end of the fourth quarter this year.
The administration previously issued a 3.8% growth forecast.
