Biden administration announces $50B semiconductor investment

The Biden administration unveiled plans for a $50 billion semiconductor investment.

Around $28 billion of the CHIPS for America Fund would go toward grants and loans to help build manufacturing, assembling and packaging plants.

The plan is expected to the largest U.S. government effort in decades to shape a strategic industry, according to The New York Times.
