Clive Cussler, a best-selling action-adventure author, died Monday at his Scottsdale, Arizona, home. He was 88.
His books sold more than 100 million copies, making him a fortune estimated at $80 million.
Cussler also was a maritime adventurer who led scores of expeditions to find historic shipwrecks and lost treasures, according to The New York Times.
