Best practices for year-end employee engagement

Posted online
Most employees just want to be recognized for their work.

Springfield-based Great Game of Business calls recognition the most cost-effective incentive to keep employees engaged.

The firm, which specializes in consulting on open-book management, compiled recognition-centered data from a variety of sources. Here are a few to chew on as the calendar year winds down:
  • 79 percent of employees surveyed say they want end-of-year rewards.
  • 55 percent say it would take just $25 to make their holiday brighter.
  • 65 percent say they would work harder if they were being recognized at work.
  • 62 percent say recognition is important to their job satisfaction level.
Here’s a visually effective way of consuming the data at Great Game of Business.[[In-content Ad]]
