Best Buy plans to close 250 small mobile phone stores in U.S. malls.
The stores contribute 1 percent to Best Buy's overall revenue and 1 percent to its total square footage.
The Minneapolis-based retailer announced the stores will close effective May 31. Best Buy will continue to sell mobile phones online and at its big-box stores.
