Bernanke joins hedge fund

Ben Bernanke, former chairman of the U.S. Federal Reserve, will serve as a senior advisor with hedge fund Citadel Investment Group, the company said in a statement on Thursday.

According to MarketWatch, Bernanke will consult on "developments in monetary policy, financial markets and the global economy."

Citadel is based out of Chicago.
